Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2 Fitment
« on: January 18, 2017, 07:34:08 pm »
Going to pick up a set of these tomorrow. Have got them for a great price with nearly new tyres.

They are coming off an Octavia and will be going onto the GTI. Centre Bore on the GTi Is 57.1. Can anyone confirm the wheels will be the same? Im guessing they will be as they are from the same group.

Also, will the same wheel bolts suffice?

Appreciate any help and advice
Cheers

Yep, the Octavia is 57.1mm.

As a rule, aftermarket wheels use a 60 degree taper bolt, and OEM wheels use a radius bolt. However, there are always exceptions to the rule. BBS VZ for instance use radius.

Can't tell you what the TDs take. Hopefully someone with experience will soon be along!

Next question, where is the best place to get the bolts themselves?

Demon Tweeks to name one of many. I'd avoid ebay unless it's a trusted seller, you don't know if you're getting decent materials.

You want M14 x 1.5. OEM thread length is 28mm. I assume it's the same length needed for the TDs @Shoduchi ?

I received a bit shorter bolts from Demon Tweeks than the bolts I have on my OZ Ultras (these use radius bolts), so they should be the same length as OEM.

Buy them direct from Team Dynamics/ Rimstock....just bought a set of spigits, nuts and locking nuts for my pro race 1.2's from them for £42 delivered. Can't go wrong buying them from the wheel manufacturer.
